In what language is the course conducted? Will I have a problem if I am more fluent in Hindi?

The Course is conducted in English, however, we do use mixed language in the classroom if required. We need you to be able to understand English, but you are welcome to communicate in Hindi if you are more comfortable in it.

Do remember that there is a demand for teachers of Hindi, Computers, games .., so looking ahead, you will find your niche in a school when you are looking for employment.

This is the first time I am stepping out of home/ planning to study after a long break… will I have a problem adjusting?

Not really, since the initial pace is quite slow. We are aware that a number of people who undertake our course are looking at a change of pace and occupation; they’ve either been home, settled their families and are now ready to devote some time to themselves, or are looking at a different career option.

We ensure that there is a balance of a lot of fun activities within the sessions, and that work carried home is minimal. Many of your “assignments” would involve spending time with your children and family.

Will I become a better Mother? Will I learn how to deal with my own children?

Most certainly you will!  As you learn more and more about child development, about the special abilities and tasks children have at different ages and stages of growth, you will find yourself becoming more patient, more understanding, more intuitive about your child’s behaviour.

You will learn how best to enhance your child’s abilities, to extend them in fun ways. You will be able to offer interventions, open up possibilities with simple, practical strategies.

Will I gain some confidence and poise?

Several of our trainees have confirmed that a more positive self image was an unexpected “gift” of the Enhancing Early Education Core Programme…the friendly, supportive environment, the sense of achievement as you progress step by step through each stage of the course, the content of the Personal and Professional Development module ( which includes time management, public speaking, planning nutritious meals, counselling skills) as well as conducting demonstration lessons and presentations in front of your own peers and classmates…all this helps you to overcome inhibitions and grow in confidence.

How does the Enhancing Early Education Core Programme compare with the NTT or B. Ed?

The Enhancing Early Education Core Programme is a new project undertaken by the SRF Foundation, the founding body of The Shri Ram Schools. The Shri Ram name has been long associated with excellent academic standards.

Drawing on over twenty years of experience of The Shri Ram Schools, the Enhancing Early Education Core Programme is an experiential, contemporary course- it goes beyond theoretical knowledge and into the classroom.

All the Trainers have years of experience both, within the school and beyond it; and each is a subject specialist in her own right. Several external subject matter experts from diverse fields, including eminent child psychologists and career counsellors are invited to conduct sessions as well.

The course is constantly under review to ensure that best practices available across the world are offered to our trainees. Last year, educationists from New York and Dubai conducted some sessions.

We take great pains to ensure that trainees are given extended exposure behind the scenes in Early Education classrooms of established schools and pre schools in the NCR.
